WiSE has always valued the importance of ‘giving back’ to the community. So we thought we’d share with you some of the support we’ve given over the years.
To date we’ve hosted 10 Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea events to assist the Cancer Council in providing research, education and support for those effected by cancer because “by the age of 85, 1 in every 2 Australians will hear the words … you have cancer” (Source: Cancer Council).
NBCF Pink Ribbon Day breakfast (but we did lunch in style instead)
We held a ‘Knit-In’ supporting Angela Catterns and ABC radio Sydney by creating and providing knitted squares for the ‘Wrap with Love’ organisation.
Our small efforts have raised awareness about self-care and the plight of others and over $15000 for cancer groups.
We realise that as individual micro and small business enterprises we don’t have the financial clout that medium and large scale enterprises and corporations do. However, collectively we can make a difference!
Would you like to participate in future community events? All members of the community are invited to participate not just those in business. Join our guest list via our ‘subscribe‘ page.
