Palm Beach to Newport Beach WiSE Walk

Our first official WiSE Walk took us from Palm Beach to Newport Beach along some of the most stunning coastline the northern beaches has to offer! We kicked off from Palm Beach (aka Summer Bay) at 7:00am heading towards ‘Kiddies Corner’ in the south then climbed the stairs to Whale Beach Rd.

The strip of coast, from Palm Beach to Whale Beach, offers great views of the ocean. As it’s the middle of whale season we were hoping for some sightings. It wasn’t meant to be today. We did however have stunning weather for our trek.

We enjoyed the hike through Whale Beach noting many renovations of existing and original ‘weekenders’. This section involved some road walking … certainly not as relaxing as the beach sectors however engrossed in conversation, as we were, we hardly noticed.

From Whale Beach we made our way to Avalon Beach through suburbia. By this time of the morning there was more activity especially in the surf for the festival and in the well-loved local cafes. After a brief stop to stretch we walked towards Newport beach ducking done to the off road track below the Bilgola Bends. Winding our way through the isolated Bilgola Beach.
